Arcadia Jungle Dawn LED Bar, 470mm (18.5″) – 22 Watt

The Arcadia Reptile Jungle Dawn LED Bar is sleek, bold, powerful and able to deliver the energy that is needed to allow plants to grow by increasing visible light levels within terraria. This clever system uses the very latest high output LED diodes to create an almighty 130+ lumens per watt.

Use the Jungle Dawn Bar on top of a mesh or fit a bar inside of a vivarium.  Jungle Dawn LED Bars are ideal the Lighting System For Plant Growth.

LED Configuration

The configuration of an LEDs within a lamp is just as important as its spectrum and output in terms of potential plant growth and illuminated area.

As with all life, plants are reliant on the quantity and quality of energy that is available to them via a light source. The greater the quantity of light, and over a wide enough area equates to better potential results.

A light source of any type can only produce a certain number of photons (parcels/packages of energy) as total light output. As light travels forwards it starts to spread out to cover a greater area. The further away a lamp is placed, the greater the area is that will be covered with light. This is a sharing or spreading of energy over a target, therefore the measured energy within light becomes weaker the further away a lamp is from the target.

To ensure that we have the maximum amount of light possible entering an enclosure we must use enough diodes, placed at the correct distance from each other and with a suitable spectrum, colour and lumen output.

A reduction in the number of diodes, regardless of rated wattage can equate to zoning, areas that are very bright and areas that are darker.

We must ensure that all light sources project a flood, this provides better results and reduces any risk of ocular damage associated with point source lamps.

Arid Systems

The benefits of using LED’s within arid systems

Many species of Reptile respond to quantity of light.

An increase in the quantity of visible light will both inspire natural basking and help to instigate and regulate certain processes within the brain and body.

We may call this the activation of the pineal gland or ‘third eye’.

Even though UV lamps such as D3+ Desert 12% UVB and D3+ Dragon 14% UVB are now very accurate and powerful, able to deliver high UV indexes at greater distances, we haven’t been able to provide as much visible light as is thought needed to interact with the pineal gland.

By using an Arcadia Jungle Dawn LED Bar we greatly increase visible light levels over the basking zone and allow a basking species to properly experience and interact with light.

This represents a step forward in both effective and ethical Reptile care.

Arcadia Pro T5 UVB Desert 24w – 12% UVB

The Arcadia ProT5 UVB Desert 24w Kit arrives complete with high quality electronics, a highly effective and removable reflector and a 12% T5 UVB Desert Lamp.

The kit can be easily fixed inside a vivarium, rested upon a wire meshed glassed terrarium or even hung within an enclosure (where safe to do so).

Its sleek design and specially curved reflector will ensure that you use less space but project as much light forward as possible.

The Arcadia ProT5 UVB Desert 24w kit also arrives with a free link cable which allows multiple units to be powered from a suitable single power source.

The ProT5 kit reflector has 2 angles of reflection from the side of each curve. This means that ProT5 projects high levels of UV rich light directly beneath the unit at around 12″/30cm to create a basking zone but then also provides a wide flood as light spreads out over distance. This will allow you to create a suitable UVB provision for any species and over a suitably wide area. The reflector is also easy to remove and clean.

Arcadia ProT5 UVB Desert 24w is perfect for enclosures that are from 60cm wide.

Easy Linking

Easily link the ProT5 UVB 24w Desert 12% UVB Kit and Jungle Dawn 22w LED Bar in this bundle, reducing the number of wall sockets required per enclosure.

Each Unit arrives with a power cable with integrated switch, fittings kit and a Link cable so you have everything you need to install and link them right out of the box.

LED Bar and ProT5 are perfect partners, both working hard to fill the UV and visible spectrum. With quality and safety at its core.
