Arcadia EarthPro Optimised52 is a wild-like natural tortoise diet made from over 52 species of EU-grown grasses and herbs, together with additional leaves and flowers found in Mediterranean habitats. It contains no nut shells, seed hulls, maize, soya, flours or artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

This freshly pressed tile-based food is designed to reflect the high-fibre, low-protein and low-sodium diet of Testudo tortoises. Each tile contains finely milled grasses, botanicals, flower petals and Arcadia’s full-spectrum mineral and carotenoid complexes, with added bee pollen for extra vitamins, minerals and amino acids. When hydrated, the mix re-greens and forms a fresh, palatable mulch that encourages natural grazing behaviour.

Optimised52 is suitable for Mediterranean tortoises such as Hermann’s, Spur-Thighed, Egyptian, Marginated and Horsefield tortoises, and can also be used for Sulcata, Leopard and other herbivorous chelonians. It helps support healthy growth, digestion, hydration and long-term wellbeing when used as part of a varied feeding routine alongside fresh weeds, flowers and leafy greens.

How To Use

Place one tile into a cup or feeding bowl and add around 12 teaspoons of fresh cold water. Allow 5–10 minutes for the tile to soften, expand and re-green, then stir before feeding. Adjust the amount of water to suit your tortoise’s preferred texture.

Feeding Guide

Feed around 1–2 tiles per day per 400g of body weight, based on roughly 1–3% of total body weight as dry food. Smaller tortoises can be offered partial tiles; simply cut the tile into quarters and hydrate each quarter with around 3 teaspoons of water.

Fresh weeds, flowers and leafy greens should still make up an important part of the weekly diet. If switching from artificially scented pellets or other processed foods, introduce Optimised52 gradually.
