The ProT5 unit can be securely fixed inside a vivarium, rested on top of a mesh-topped terrarium, or suspended over an enclosure where safe and appropriate. For forest-dwelling and shade-tolerant species, Arcadia recommend positioning the unit so the animal can access the correct UV Index within its natural basking distance.
