Power Treats are not suitable for finches, canaries or softbills, as the pieces are too coarse and energy-dense for their dietary needs.
How To Feed:
- As a guide: small parrots ⅛–1½ pieces per day, medium parrots ~3 pieces, large parrots ~9 pieces.
- Can make up to 30% of the total diet.
- May be softened with warm water for weaning or recovering birds.
- Pieces may vary naturally in size due to production methods.
Fresh Foods:
- 75–80% of the diet should be Harrison’s pellets.
- 20–25% should be fresh vegetables and fruits such as leafy greens, carrot, pumpkin, sweet potato, mango and papaya.
Additional vitamin or mineral supplements are normally not required unless prescribed by an avian veterinarian.
Storage:
