As an on/off thermostat, it efficiently powers the heater at full capacity until the desired temperature is reached. Once the set temperature is achieved, the thermostat switches off the heater until the temperature drops below the desired value, maintaining a consistent and comfortable environment for your reptiles. The thermostat features convenient power and heat indicators that shine when switched on.
Please be aware that the HabiStat Mat Stats are not suitable for controlling light bulbs. The constant on/off cycling of light bulbs could distress your animals. This will also lead to frequent lamp failures, potentially affecting the thermostat’s performance. For light-emitting heat sources, we recommend using HabiStat Dimming Thermostats.
