Installation & Positioning:
The ProT5 ShadeDweller Max can be mounted inside wooden vivariums, positioned above mesh-topped enclosures, or suspended where safe and appropriate.
This 14W version is optimised for enclosures from around 90 cm (3 ft) in length and above, where snakes benefit from UV exposure over a greater proportion of the body rather than a small, concentrated basking point.
The lower 2.5% UVB output combined with increased overall brightness allows snakes to self-regulate exposure naturally as they move through areas of light and shade.

How often should the UVB lamp be replaced?

Designed for snakes and so I installed it with the enclosed clips into my hognose vivarium. Clips were a tiny bit fiddly to do but nice and secure once done. Snakes UV requirements often overlooked but not by me.
