The HabiStat Classic Pro Dimming Thermostat is the go-to choice for keepers using heat lamps to warm their enclosures. Designed to deliver smooth and accurate temperature control, this thermostat works by supplying a variable, continuous flow of power, rather than switching the power on and off. This makes it ideal for use with all light emitting heat sources.
While it’s optimised for light bulbs, the Classic Pro Dimming Thermostat can also be used with a wide range of heaters, and supports up to 450 watts, giving you flexibility across enclosure sizes and heat sources.
Its dimming action works in a similar way to a household light dimmer or rheostat, gently adjusting the output to maintain your target temperature with high precision—helping to keep your animals safe, comfortable, and most importantly, warm.
The temperature measured at the sensor probe is clearly indicated on the LCD screen.
A heat indicator light shows when your thermostat is calling for heat and if the set temperature is exceeded by 3°C then ‘HHH’ will flash on the LCD display and the alarm will sound.
To set / change the temperature simply press or press and hold either the Up or Down indicator and easily increase/decrease your desired set temperature in increments of 0.1°C
The removable temperature sensor probe is waterproof and chemically resistant. Note, when the sensor probe is detached ‘EEE’ will flash on the LCD display and the alarm will sound. The probe has a suction cup to enable you to secure it to a smooth surface if required.
If you want to permanently fix the thermostat there is a choice of the locating tabs at both the top and bottom of unit or you can use double double sided tape to surface mount it.
Equipped with a super quick acting external fuse to ensure safety for your animals and equipment in the event of equipment failure. Only use ultra-rapid quick blow type FF3.15 amp for this thermostat. The maximum heating device load of 450 watts should not be exceeded.
